PTFE Lined Plug Valves

PTFE Lined Plug Valves

Overview

PTFE Lined Plug Valves are engineered for the safe and efficient handling of corrosive, toxic, and abrasive media. The valve body is typically constructed from ductile iron or carbon steel, internally lined with a seamless PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) layer to ensure full chemical resistance to aggressive fluids.
The design uses a cylindrical or tapered plug that rotates within the body to control flow, offering a simple and leak-proof sealing mechanism. The plug itself is also fully encapsulated in PTFE, and additional features such as cavity fillers or live-loaded seals can be added for enhanced performance in severe conditions.
These valves are highly durable, require minimal maintenance, and are suitable for on/off and throttling applications. Widely used in industries like chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, dyes, agrochemicals, and water treatment, PTFE lined plug valves are essential wherever metal valves are unsuitable due to corrosion.
